Default Custom reinforcing cylinder for a Dino switch top plate

This is the 3rd column switch with a cracked top plate mounting post we've received this year!!

The repair is to machine a heavy walled brass cylinder that is a light press fit onto the failing post. The reinforcing cylinder is further secured with a plastic friendly superglue.

In this picture note one side of the cylinder's bottom is machined to just clear the brown phenolic contact plate:

In this top view, note that the full length of one side of the cylinder has a curved section milled out to accommodate where the plastic post's side is molded as part of the main switch body:

Each cylinder takes almost 2 hours of lathe, milling machine time & hand labor to fabricate & install!!!
